Hong Seh EVolution opens new Shineray Motors showroom and introduces new SRM T3EV electric lorry

The electric commercial-vehicle arm of Hong Seh Group continues to expand its eco-friendly transport portfolio for businesses in Singapore with its latest Shineray setup and lineup. 

The first Shineray model to hit the road is the SRM T3EV, a fully electric 10-foot lorry with a range of up to 300 kilometres from its 53.58 kWh battery, which is supplied by Chinese new-energy giant CATL. The truck is made in Chongqing, China, and designed in Italy. 

In terms of payload, the T3EV can carry up to 1,595 kg of cargo and has a deck area of 5.2 square metres, which is said to be the largest amongst lorries of the same size. The T3EV can also carry up to 14 workers where permitted. The chassis has been reinforced for the heavy-duty hauling it is expected to perform. 

Lorry drivers and their co-drivers will appreciate the T3EV cabin’s multimedia entertainment system on a busy workday, while the dual airbags and front/rear dash cameras provide greater safety on the job.   

Three hundred units of the T3EV are currently available in Singapore, which is believed to be the first right-hand-drive market for the Shineray electric lorry. The versatile vehicle is priced at $68,800 without Category C COE and before applicable LTA rebates. 

Wang Chang Fan, Shineray Motors general manager of Southeast Asia region, said: “The Singapore market plays a pivotal role in Shineray Motors expansion strategy as we are aware of the country’s growing demand for electric commercial vehicle products.”
