Mercedes-Benz just revealed their latest concept car at IAA Mobility 2021. Inspired by the movie Avatar, you can drive and control the Mercedes Benz Vision AVTR with just your brain.
A new dimension of future human-vehicle interaction is here. Unveiled at the 2021 IAA MOBILITY show, Mercedes-Benz previewed future applications of brain-computer interface technology in the car.
In plain speak, it means that the car can be powered by your thoughts.
Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI)

Brain-Computer Interface, or BCI for short, enables this new type of machine control. You are able to select a navigation destination, alter the interior lighting, or change the radio station by thought.
Whilst they will not be available in mass-produced cars in the near future, BCI is not longer limited to the realm of science-fiction; they have been regarded as a realistic option for assisting people with physical disabilities in becoming more self-sufficient.
The Vision AVTR Experience

The Vision AVTR works by strapping its BCI device to the user's head. This measures brain waves and sends them to the car, which tells it what to do. Real-time information produced from neural activity in the brain is linked with BCI, which detects if a person is interacting with prompts on the screen in front of them, and this information can be utilised to operate the dashboard.
According to Mercedes-Benz, the dashboard may be used to “produce wind, cultivate plants, pick charging parking locations, or transform day into night.”

The Mercedes-Benz Vision AVTR first made its debut at the 2020 CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas. “ADVANCED VEHICLE TRANSFORMATION” is the actual name of the ground-breaking concept vehicle.
In the autonomous-driving concept vehicle, the biometric connection enables a fundamentally new relationship between man, machine, and nature. It is the product of an incredible worldwide collaboration between Disney, one of the most innovative companies in the entertainment industry, and Mercedes-Benz, the world's eighth most valuable brand.
