With the original BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé having enjoyed significant success, a second-generation four-door model is now being added to the latest 4 Series range.
BMW Asia announced today that the all-new BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé is available for viewing in Singapore. Modern functionality is central to this gran coupé.
The all-new four-door coupé promises enhanced driving dynamics, a sharper design and a refined premium experience.

Bold lines are the defining elements of the new BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé’s expressive front end. Prominently featured at its centre is the large and bold BMW kidney grille. The slim full-LED headlights come with U-shaped fibre-optic light guides for the daytime driving lights. There is also the option of Adaptive LED Headlights with BMW Laserlight.
Precise lines, doors with frameless windows and flush-fitting handles shape the elegantly sporty silhouette of the new BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé.

The low-slung, muscular stature of the car is also accentuated by a rear apron with vertical aero lips at its outer edges and a black finish for its lower edge.
The all-new BMW 420i Gran Coupé comes as standard with 18-inch M light-alloy wheels. The more powerful BMW M440i xDrive Gran Coupé and BMW 430i Gran Coupé M Sport Pro receive sportier 19-inch M light-alloy wheels.
For customers wanting a more bespoke look, M Carbon exterior packages can be specified as options, and model-specific M Performance Parts are available as part of the Genuine BMW Accessory range.
Versatile and functional on the inside

The model-specific body concept results in a versatile interior, offering generous amounts of space in the rear. The all-new BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé offers 470 litres of boot space, and load capacity can be expanded to a maximum of 1,290 litres by folding down the rear seats.
Inside, the high centre console and flowing surface structure running from the instrument panel into the door panels generate a cocooning feel in the front seats. The centre console houses the BMW Controller and driving mode buttons, alongside the electromechanical parking brake and model-specific gearshift lever.

Driving pleasure and comfort can be further enhanced with features such as seat ventilation, a myriad of leather trim options, a large glass slide/tilt sunroof and the Harman Kardon Surround Sound System.

The 4 Series will come with the BMW Live Cockpit Professional as standard, featuring a fully digital screen grouping with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster screen behind the steering wheel and a 10.25-inch control display.
With smartphone integration fitted as standard, customers can use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto via the car’s operating system. The Remote Software Upgrades function also enables improved vehicle functions and additional digital services to be imported into the car over the air.
Powerful and refined powertrains

The new BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé comes in a variety of trim levels, starting from the entry-level 420i Gran Coupé with a four-cylinder petrol engine producing 184bhp and 300Nm of torque to the range-topping M440i xDrive Gran Coupé powered by a 374bhp six-cylinder in-line petrol engine that churns out a healthy 500Nm of torque.
In the BMW M440i xDrive Gran Coupé, mild hybrid technology further increases dynamism and efficiency with a 48V starter-generator. This provides an extra 8 kW/11 hp when accelerating or when a quick burst of speed is needed.

All models are paired with an eight-speed Steptronic transmission as standard, with the M440i receiving an improved eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission.
A low centre of gravity and almost 50:50 weight distribution ensures that the 4 Series is still a well-balanced car, being able to take corners enthusiastically. An active air flap control system comprising flaps at the top and bottom, plus air curtains and an almost completely sealed underbody help to optimise the car’s aerodynamics.
A wide array of driver assistance systems
