Hyundai’s all-new spacious multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), the STARIA, has debuted in Singapore and is up-for-grab for all utilitarians at the price of S$231,999.
Seeking a powerful, aesthetically-pleasing vehicle with loads of versatile cargo space? Look no further than the Hyundai STARIA which offers generous luggage space thanks to electric recline seats that can be dropped down to provide extra space.
This MPV stands out with its sheer quantity of cargo space, futuristic exterior, and luxurious interior. Top it off with a powerful engine and you get a dream MPV that many desire.
Dynamic Performance

Propelling this MPV is a gasoline-powered G6DIII 3.5-L MPI mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that generates an estimated power output of 268hp and 331Nm of torque.
Striking the balance between performance and utility, Hyundai has optimised the drivetrain to lower vibration, harshness, and noise while improving better shift sensation for higher torque performance and shift acceleration.
Upgraded brake callipers and discs provide extra stopping power for the relatively huge vehicle to supplement road safety.
Riding in the STARIA MPV is extremely comfortable thanks to a multi-link suspension added to the rear axle with an optimised upright inclination angle and lever ratio of shock absorbers.
Versatile Cargo Space

The consumer market has shifted to prioritising the interior space of MPVs. As reflected in the Hyundai STARIA, it prioritises the sheer volume of interior space over anything else.
The platform in STARIA is extremely versatile. Every inch of space is used wisely with multipurpose functionalities. To maximise space utilisation, passenger seats are built with a long sliding capability to change the seating arrangement based on your needs.
This innovative interior space utilisation provides plenty of cargo space. Such a huge platform is only made possible with the 3273-mm wheelbase with an overall length of 5,253 mm and a width of 1,997 mm.
With an optimised dimension of 1990mm in height, it allows passengers to conveniently enter and exit the vehicle. The roof is also set high enough that an average school-aged child can stand upright and move with ease.
Premium Interior

Hyundai developed the vehicle through an “inside-out” approach. This means that the vehicle’s design process begins in the interior before expanding out to the exterior.
The interior design of the Hyundai STARIA is lounge-inspired to provide a luxurious premium vibe. Lowered beltlines and panoramic side windows increase overall visibility and generate a feeling of openness.
As mentioned by Hyundai, the STARIA provides passengers with a sense of spaciousness that is inspired by traditional Korean ‘hanok’ architecture. It allows passengers to feel as if the outside scenes are an extension of the vehicle interior.
A 64-colour ambient mood lamp in the STARIA provides a lush interior atmosphere and the harmonious direct and indirect lighting can selectively illuminate the cockpit, console, doors and cargo areas. The premium feeling is further enhanced by the Bose sound system.
Futuristic Exterior

The STARIA MPV’s exterior, on the other hand, is inspired by spaceship designs and streamlined to provide the vehicle with an aerodynamic upper body to reduce the drag coefficient. Furthermore, it provides better fuel economy and range.
According to Hyundai, its name draws reference to the vehicle’s future-oriented product values and streamlined design characteristics defined by one curve gesture silhouettes as well as its clean and pure body volume.
Hyundai also uses the same body colour for all frontal parts to maximize the vehicle’s modern and pure style.
Built Different

Other than a myriad of outstanding specs, the STARIA is simply built differently with numerous smart features such as the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), and Rear Occupant Alert (ROA), which uses a radar sensor to detect and alert the driver if a rear passenger is left in the vehicle after exiting the car.
With this vehicle, Hyundai hopes to revolutionise the automotive industry by pioneering the future of mobility with safety and versatility, perfectly in line with the company vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’.
