New Cars of 2022: What's Coming This Year and When?
Here are the new cars that are set to launch in Singapore throughout the course of 2022!
2021 has been kind to the car enthusiast amongst us, with the debut of fan-favourite vehicles such as the Tesla Model 3, or even rarer hypercars like the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport.
2022 will see the automotive industry carrying forward the momentum, with a long list of vehicles from all different nameplates set to grace our roads later in the year. They are as follows:
Aston Martin
V12 Vantage (Estimated Arrival: TBA)
Technical Specifications have yet to be revealed, though it is likely the car will come with the final iteration of Aston Martin's now-legendary V12 engine. Global launch of the car is scheduled for early 2022, with the local launch estimated at Q3 to Q4 of 2022.
Audi
RS 3 Sportback & Sedan (Estimated Arrival: Q2 2022, Launched)
Packed with a 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine tuned to 395bhp, the Audi RS 3 Sportback and Sedan both feature new torque vectoring technology that optimally distributes torque to all four wheels, ensuring a balanced stable drive.

e-tron S Sportback (Estimated Arrival: Q2 2022, Launched)
A fully-electric SUV with a single electric motor in the front, and a pair of motors powering the rear axle. Combined output is rated at 496bhp, and 973Nm of torque in the car's spiciest setting.

SQ 7 (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022, Launched)
The car for those seeking a little more 'go' from their Q7. This is a seven-seat performance SUV, but packs a 500bhp 4.0-litre V8 engine that generates up to 770Nm of torque.
SQ 8 (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022, Launched)
Despite being a large performance SUV, the SQ8 boasts the sleek profile and sporty character of a coupe. Similarly equipped with the 500bhp V8 of the SQ7.
Q5 & Q5 Sportback (Estimated Arrival: Q4 2022, Launched)
The Q Series prioritises performance and practicality. Packed under the hood is a 2.0L turbocharged inline-four engine that generates 249Nm and 370 Nm of torque. Power is evenly distributed with Quattro all-wheel-drive system.
R8 V10 Performance RWD (Estimated Arrival: Q2 2022)
The 2022 update sees the R8 getting its power bumped to 562bhp, and its peak torque increased to 560Nm. Will be available in both the Coupe and Spyder variants.
A8 (Estimated Arrival: Q4 2022, Launched)
The A8 is aesthetically updated from its predecessor with a redesigned grille to exhibit greater authority and presence. Two options available: 335bhp V6 & 453bhp V8.
S8 (Estimated Arrival: Q4 2022, Launched)
The S8 receives huge upgrades across the board, flexing a 563bhp bi-turbocharged V8 engine alongside predictive active suspension, a sport differential, and dynamic all-wheel steering.
Bentley
Flying Spur Hybrid (Estimated Arrival: Q4 2022)
Bentley combines ultra-luxury and sustainability in their new release: Flying Spur Hybrid. Equipped with a 2.9-litre V6 generating 536bhp and 750Nm of torque, the electric motor and a 14.1kWh lithium-ion battery serves to further enhance its enormous potential.
BMW
2 Series Coupe (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022, Launched)
BMW's sporty compact coupe will be arriving with new designs and drivers can opt for either a 181bhp four-cylinder model or a 369bhp six-cylinder model with all-wheel drive.
2 Series Active Tourer (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022, Launched)
BMW's compact people mover is now equipped with a new crossover-inspired look on the outside withholding BMW's latest Operating System 8 features within.
i4 (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022, Launched)
Long-range and ample practical space are characteristics of the new BMW i4 all-electric Gran Coupe. The BMW i4 eDrive40 will deliver 335bhp, 430Nm of peak torque, and a WLTP range of up to 590km.
M8 Competition Coupe & Competition Gran Coupe (Estimated Arrival: Q2 2022, Launched)
Both of these flagship performance BMW models will be kept up to date with modern specs going into the second half of 2022. Offers premium carbon fibre M bucket seats to boast a luxurious experience.
8 Series Coupe & Gran Coupe (Estimated Arrival: Q2 2022, Launched)
A myriad of feature upgrades for the BMW 8 Series and 8 Series Gran Coupe will come in the second half of 2022 with powerful performance generated by a V8 engine.
3 Series (Estimated Arrival: Q3 2022)
BMW's compact executive sedan will also get a host of updates going into the second half of 2022. The base model of the gas variant, 330i RWD, already boasts an outstanding output of 255hp and 400Nm of torque from a Turbo 2.0L four-cylinder.
X7 (Estimated Arrival: Q3 2022)
Scheduled to get an update to this flagship BMW SUV in the third quarter of the year. It's a full-size SUV with a bold exterior and at its entry-level, the 3.0L inline-6 provides 335 hp and accelerates from 0-100km/h in 6.1 seconds. Outstanding specs for an SUV.
X1 (Estimated Arrival: Q4 2022)
BMW will reveal an all-new compact crossover which will arrive in Singapore in the final quarter of 2022. As an economical scaled-down version of the X7, it still provides decent output with its 2.0L Turbo Inline-4 that produces 228 hp with 350Nm of torque.
7 Series (Estimated Arrival: Q4 2022)
Designed with distinctive styling to instil the highest levels of luxury with the all-new BMW 7 Series, set to arrive here in the later part of 2022. Offered in three different ranges, each distinct from another with its powertrain.
i7 (Estimated Arrival: Q4 2022)
The all-electric i7 is currently undergoing its final testing phase. Highly anticipated with a multitude of built-in features, it is scheduled to arrive here in the last quarter of 2022.
BYD
Atto 3 (Estimated Arrival: Q2 2022, Launched)
BYD will launch its all-electric SUV for Singapore packed with a 201bhp electric motor good for 310Nm of torque and an option between either a 50kWh or 60kWh battery for drivers. It was launched in China earlier in the year as the Yuan Plus, but has been renamed the Atto 3 for export markets.

Citroën
C4 (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022, Launched)
Citroën's new C4 will sport new SUV coupe-like styling with a low drag-coefficient that makes it highly aerodynamic. Supported by an innovative suspension system, it offers passengers wonderful comfort and riding experience.

E-Berlingo (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022, Launched)
An electric-powered van boasting zero emissions with an efficient compact body. Comes with a 50kWh battery which feeds a 134bhp electric motor.

Cupra
Born (Estimated Arrival: Q4 2022)
Cupra's first all-electric vehicle will be available here come 2022's later months. The car is offered internationally with either 148bhp or 201bhp - no word yet on which variant would be made available here!
Ferrari

296 GTB (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022, Launched)
A new V6 mid-engine plug-in hybrid sports car from Ferrari, the 296 GTB will make its arrival here in Singapore early 2022, with a total system output of 819bhp and 740Nm of torque thanks to the assistance of a 134bhp electric motor.
Ford
Mustang Mach-E (Estimated Arrival: Q3 - Q4 2022)
Previously, Parallel importers had brought in the electric Mustang Mach-E. This year, the authorised Ford agent Regent Motor will carry the stocks in Singapore by the second half of 2022.
Honda
HR-V (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022, Launched)
The Honda HR-V will be updated with a new exterior look. As for the interior, the Honda Magic Seats remains from its predecessor which offers a flexible interior design.
As it turns out, the new HR-V is a massive step-up from its predecessor in every metric.
Civic e-HEV (Estimated Arrival: Q3 2022)
The Honda Civic won our Car Of The Year in its class last year. It's always a solid choice for those shopping for a reliable daily driver, and if you like your cars partially electrified, a hybrid variant will be added to the line-up in 2022.
City (Estimated Arrival: Q4 2022)
The compact Honda City sedan is scheduled to get a facelift which will arrive in Singapore in the final months of 2022.
Hyundai
i30 N Hatchback & N Sportback (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022)
The previous generation i30N showed the world just how serious Hyundai was at putting together a competent hot hatch that could take on what Japan and the West could offer. Its follow-up act is in the words, and this will pack an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox with a 276bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine.
Jeep
Grand Cherokee (Estimated Arrival: TBA)
The new Jeep Grand Cherokee is set to arrive at our local shores alongside its new seven-seater variant - the Grand Cherokee L - in the later half of 2022.
Kia
Sonet (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022, Launched)
An advanced subcompact crossover from Kia, the Sonet will premiere here while carrying the Kia Connect Lite connected services. Packed with a 1.5-litre engine that is paired to a CVT transmission.
EV6 (Estimated Arrival: Q2 2022)
Kia has devoted itself to the race of promoting futuristic electric vehicles. EV6 is the first of many and it will arrive in Singapore around the second quarter of 2022. Comes with either a 58kWh or a 77.4kWh battery, this automobile is available internationally.
Land Rover
Range Rover (Estimated Arrival: Q3 2022, Launched)
Arriving in Singapore in mid-2022, the range rover sports a new exterior design albeit carrying reminiscence of the classic silhouette from its predecessors. The car was launched in late July - we attended the launch event and you can read all about it here!
Lexus
NX F-Sport & Plug-in Hybrid (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022, Launched)
The Lexus NX is receiving an F-Sport variant equipped with a turbocharged 2.5-litre engine along with a plug-in hybrid variant equipped with an 18.1kWh lithium-ion battery to offer up to 76km of electric-only driving.

Lotus
Emira (Estimated Arrival: Q2 2022, Launched)
As the last automobile petrol-powered car from Lotus, this sensation will arrive here by mid-2022. The Emira is offered internationally with a supercharged 3.5-litre V6 producing up to 400bhp. We attended the launch event, and you can read about that here!
Maserati
Levante Hybrid (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022, Launched)
The Maserati Levante Hybrid comes powered by a 2.0-litre engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system that has added efficiency from a feature that recovers energy during braking. Power stands at 325bhp while peak torque from the system is 450Nm.
MC20 (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022, Launched)
The latest supercar from the firm will deliver 621bhp from its native Nettuno engine. Propelling a low 1,500kg bodyweight, it completes the century sprint in just 2.9 seconds.
Grecale (Launched)
Currently only available as a mild hybrid, but a full EV Folgore will be launched later next year. Read about the local launch of the Grecale here!
Mazda
MX-30 (Estimated Arrival: TBA)
Mazda's first all-electric car, the MX-30, is set to make an impression on our shores in the later months of 2022. Equipped with a 134bhp electric motor alongside a 35.5kWh battery provides a 200km WLTP range.
McLaren
Artura (Estimated Arrival: Q3 2022)
Combining McLaren's super-lightweight automobile with modern electrification technology, this hybrid supercar is the first of many to come and it boasts 671bhp, arriving in SG around the second half of 2022.
765 LT Spider (Estimated Arrival: Q3 2022)
Ranked as McLaren's most powerful-ever convertible supercar, this highly-anticipated 755bhp beast will reach our shores in the later half of 2022 as well.
Mercedes-Benz
C-Class (Launched)
Mercedes' new compact executive sedan is estimated to arrive in Singapore in the early part of the year. Offered internationally, it is built with a range of mild-hybrid four-cylinder engines.
EQS (Launched)
Mercedes' all-electric limousine to arrive in Singapore by mid-2022. Aesthetic with a singular bow line profile merged with a cab-forward design and a fastback rear to distinguish the EQS from its petrol-powered S-Class counterpart.
Mercedes announced that the EQS450+ and the EQS53 variants will be made available for purchase later in the year.
EQB (Estimated Arrival: TBA)
Mercedes' all-electric compact seven-seater is set to arrive here in Singapore early in 2022. Two options are available as the automobile comes with either 225bhp or 288bhp.
AMG-SL (Estimated Arrival: TBA)
The new AMG-SL now from AMG is crafted with a 2+2 seater configuration, a fabric top, as well as an all-wheel-drive feature. Available intentionally with a choice of two V8 engines.
EQE (Estimated Arrival: TBA)
Mercedes' all-electric executive saloon is distinctive with many of the firm's EQ design touches. Offers a maximum 660km range thanks to a 90kWh battery. Hardware features Mercedes' new MBUX Hyperscreen.
Mercedes-Maybach GLS (Estimated Arrival: TBA)
The first SUV from Maybach is estimated to arrive at our shores in mid-2022. Air suspension, all-wheel drive and a 550bhp V8 are offered in this super-luxury SUV.
Mercedes-Maybach S-Class (Estimated Arrival: TBA)
Made for pure luxury, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is built with innovative details and exquisite materials. Stylish design paired with technologically advanced hardware. Highly anticipated as it is set to arrive in the second half of 2022.
MG
MG ZS (Estimated Arrival: Q4 2022)
The facelifted MG ZS will arrive in Singapore in the second half of 2022 with a redesigned front, alongside a new 72kWh battery.
Nissan
Qashqai (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022, Launched)
The sensational Qashqai is returning to Singapore with a renowned reputation to uphold. Receiving an update with an all-new exterior design packed with a turbocharged 1.3-litre mild-hybrid engine.

Mokka (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022, Launched)
The Opel Mokka is arriving here with hardware such as the new Opel Vizor front and Opel Pure Panel integrated widescreen displays in the cabin.

Mokka-e (Estimated Arrival: Q3 2022)
The Opel Mokka-e, an all-electric version of the Mokka, will arrive here later in 2022. Powered by a 134bhp electric motor and a 50kWh battery, the Opel Mokka-e will deliver a claimed 323km of range.
Pagani
C10 (Estimated Arrival: Q3-Q4 2022)
A successor to the Huayra, the highly anticipated C10 is due in the second half of 2022. Powered by a 6-litre V12, although an electric variant is also rumoured. The vehicle has yet to be unveiled although many leaks have been circulated online.
Peugeot
e-2008 (Estimated Arrival: Q4 2022)
Peugeot's all-electric crossover will arrive in Singapore in the second quarter of 2022 equipped with a 134bhp electric motor and a 50kWh battery.
Polestar
Polestar 2 (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022, Launched)
The Polestar 2 will be available here in its Standard Range Single Motor variant come early 2022. This variant is equipped with a 221bhp electric motor and a 440km WLTP range.

Kangoo E-Tech Electric (Estimated Arrival: TBA)
The new Kangoo E-Tech Electric will come to Singapore in the second half of the year equipped with a 121bhp electric motor and a 45kWh battery that delivers a 300km WLTP range.
Rolls-Royce
Singapore Orchid Collection Phantom Extended
(Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022, Launched)
A one-off Singapore Orchid Collection Phantom Extended is expected in January. A special edition specially built for Singapore. Worth seeking for an exhibition when the vehicle finally arrives.
Skoda
Octavia vRS (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022, Launched)
Skoda's performance variant of the Octavia, the Octavia RS is arriving in SG packed with 241bhp and a 370Nm peak torque from a 2.0-litre engine.
Octavia vRS Combi (Estimated Arrival: Q3 2022)
Customers will also be able to order the Octavia RS as a station wagon with the Octavia RS Combi if they have the patience to wait for its arrival in the second half of 2022.
Subaru
Forester (Estimated Arrival: Q2 2022)
The fan-favourite Forester SUV series is primed for an update in early 2022, coming with symmetrical all-wheel drive and EyeSight Driver Assist Technology.
BRZ (Estimated Arrival: Q2 2022)
The second generation Subaru BRZ is now equipped with a 2.4-litre boxer engine producing 225bhp and 249Nm of torque. We are expecting the sports coupe to arrive here by mid-2022.
Suzuki
S-Cross (Estimated Arrival: Q4 2022)
Powered by a 1.4-litre engine merged with a mild-hybrid system. Set to arrive in the later months of 2022.
Tesla
Model Y (Launched)
Another model of Tesla is coming this year and the SUV variant comes with a maximum of 483bhp if you have opted for the Performance variant.

Toyota
RAV4 Hybrid (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022, Launched)
The Toyota RAV4 will be available here with a hybrid drivetrain come 2022 for those looking for a fuel-efficient SUV.
GR86 (Estimated Arrival: Q3 2022)
A low centre of gravity improves handling and aerodynamic performance. Packed with a 225bhp flat-four engine, strong performance is guaranteed for Toyota's new GR 86 sports coupe.
Corolla Cross (Estimated Arrival: Q4 2022)
Corolla Cross is packed with a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine under the hood alongside a hybrid variant. Arriving in late 2022.
Volkswagen
Touareg (Estimated Arrival: Q2 2022, Launched)
Volkswagen's flagship SUV will receive an update and is set to boast exuberant design for both its interior and exterior, arriving in the first half of 2022.
Arteon (Estimated Arrival: Q4 2022)
New facelifted Volkswagen Arteon four-door fastback is set to arrive in the second half of 2022.
Volvo
XC40 Recharge Pure Electric (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022)
Volvo's all-electric XC40 Recharge is coming to Singapore early 2022. The car was launched internationally as a T8 variant, with 402bhp and a 78kWh battery.
XC60 Plug-in Hybrid (Estimated Arrival: Q1 2022)
Scheduled for an update in 2022, this powerful and efficient hybrid is set to arrive early.
XC90 Plug-in Hybrid (Estimated Arrival: Q3 2022)
This luxury crossover is scheduled for an update in 2022 with a minor facelift along with a beautiful interior with a myriad of safety features to protect its passengers.
