Mercedes-Benz Opens Concept Store in Great World in A Showcase Of Sustainability

Mercedes-Benz Singapore and Cycle and Carriage have opened the new Mercedes-Benz Concept Store in Great World Mall in a bid to showcase what sustainability means to the brand.

HYPEMAKER, the creative studio behind HYPEBEAST, was a partner in bringing Mercedes’ store concept to life and will continue to reach out to potential partners to be a part of the space. The concept store will also feature cars from the Mercedes-EQ range such as an exclusive preview of the all-new EQS which is currently on display at the store.

In line with the theme of maximising and highlighting sustainability, Mercedes-Benz chose Great World as the mall to house the store as it is itself a certified sustainable building. Mercedes also used non-harmful and sustainable paints and consumables within the store and is in the process of attaining its own Green Mark certification. The Concept Store is created in line with Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to be carbon neutral across its supply chain by 2039.

The store’s space is divided into three zones. The Showcase, where visitors can interact and view the Mercedes-EQ models on display; Artist @ Work, where industry partners can showcase their work in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz; lastly, the Takeover, where sustainable lifestyle concepts will be able to be enjoyed by consumers.

At its launch, some sustainable entities represented are:

• Metamo Industries, a team of highly skilled artists who have developed a dynamic audio-visual experience that is displayed on the multi-dimensional curved media wall.
• Foreword Coffee Roasters, a coffee company and social enterprise committed to positive environmental and social impact along their whole supply chain and will also be serving beverages for visitors to the store.
• Mosscape, Singapore's top provider of biophilic interior design concepts has built a plant wall representing the state of Singapore's natural forests to remind visitors about their impact on the local environment 

The Mercedes-Benz Concept Store is open to the public from today and can be found at #01-131, Great World, 1 Kim Seng Promenade, Singapore 237994.
