Lotus Singapore Previews All-New Emira 3.5 V6 First Edition; Deliveries to Start Q3 2022
In a private session at the Lotus showroom, Lotus Cars Singapore gave members of the media a preview of the all-new Emira, Lotus' last internal combustion engine vehicle. They also announced that the Emira 3.5 V6 First Edition is slated to arrive on our shores in Q3 this year.
The Emira is Lotus' all-new mid-engine sports car that replaces the Elise, Exige, and Evora. It features a brand new platform as well as an updated interior and exterior design while retaining the core values of what makes a Lotus. The Emira V6 First Edition is powered by a 400hp 3.5L supercharged V6 mated to a six-speed manual. A six-speed automatic is also available as an option. Lotus has also made a separate variant of the Emira called the 2.0 Turbo 4 Cylinder that's powered by AMG's 2L turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed DCT.The First Edition models will have a short production run with very limited models available for the Singapore market. Buyers of the First Edition Emiras will enjoy higher specced cars as well as unique badging. All First Editions will come with 20" ultra-lightweight forged alloy wheels as well as branded brake callipers. Buyers also have the choice of six exterior paint options and seven interior colour choices (including Nappa leather and Alcantara options), all available at no extra cost. The included Drivers Pack gives customers the option to choose between Tour or Sport suspension as well as Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport or Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres depending on what buyers prefer. The Emira First Edition will also be fitted with the Lower Black Pack as standard which finishes the front air blades, front splitter, side sills, and rear diffuser in gloss black. The Full Black Pack is available as an option which would further black out the roof, cantrails, mirrors, rear badging, and exhaust, and includes an Alcantara steering wheel. The Design Pack fitted to First Edition cars adds privacy glass, sports pedals, black Alcantara headliner, as well as the choice of painted brake callipers. The Emira also sees a marked improvement in practicality and useability over previous Lotus cars. First Edition Emiras will come fully loaded with electric heated seats, climate control, cruise control, and keyless start. The infotainment system will also support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and is connected to a premium KEF sound system. All functions are accessed through a 10.25" touch-screen display in the centre, while drivers get their information through a 12.3" TFT digital gauge cluster. The First Edition will also be fitted with the Convenience Pack which adds front parking sensors, a back-up camera, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming mirrors, and a rear luggage storage net. If you'd like to play around and configure your own Lotus Emira, an updated configurator is now live at www.lotuscars.com. Production of the Lotus Emira 3.5 V6 First Edition will start in spring 2022, while the Emira 2.0 Turbo 4 Cylinder will be available from 2023.
