1. Fat Fish JB

Don’t let its rather comical name throw you off. Fat Fish is a hotpot-style restaurant known for their soup bases and seafood pots. Seafood enthusiasts will salivate at their enticing seafood platter which includes prawns, abalones, clams, and other delicacies.

With a few soup bases like the spicy mala soup base and the non-spicy sweet corn soup base, there is something for everybody! The ambiance and service are great and the restaurant is air-conditioned. They even provide hair ties for people with long hair!

2. San Low Seafood

The salted egg craze has taken over both SG and MY, with many restaurants incorporating it into their menus to varying results. San Low Seafood does it well though. Their salted egg crab balances the savoury salted egg flavour with the fresh taste of crab well. leaving you longing for more.

Their bee hoon is also another crowd puller. It may look pretty average but looks are deceiving. There's a reason why it's well loved by their regulars!

3. Restoran Tian Lai

The general consensus of customers is that Restoran Tian Lai serves extremely fresh and juicy crabs. It is one of, if not the most, popular seafood restaurant in Gelang Petah. The chili sauce isn't overly sweet, which is a welcome change as sweet chili has the potential to overpower the delicious crab meat.

Another dish that is unique is their Kam Heong crab, which uses a sauce made from dried shrimp and curry powder, giving it a unique taste. Try it out!

Ong Shun Seafood is extremely popular among visitors and locals, not only because of its supposed halal status which is a rarity with regards to Chinese-style restaurants in JB but also because of how tasty it is.

It's akin to a zi-char stall in Singapore, but with an additional range of seafood. Be sure to come early as it can get pretty packed during peak periods.

Dining at Anjung Senibong gives you an al fresco dining experience by the sea. There's just something so alluring and assuring about engorging yourself with seafood while the sea breeze caresses your face.

Their menu includes seafood favourites like cereal prawn and chili crab. They also claim to catch the seafood themselves, so you can be sure that your meal is fresh!

Jade Garden is well known for its lobsters and their exotic seafood like their la-la and shellfish. It is also halal certified, which means that you can bring your Muslim friends here to enjoy a seafood feast!
