Porsche recently hosted a Sportscar Together Day, held in the convention halls at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre.

The most unique part? This year it is in the format of a drive-in cinema, the first of its kind in Singapore! This isn’t the first time Porsche has done such an event for its customers.

The very first Sportscar Together Day was hosted way back in 2018, 70 years after the very first Porsche was registered originally on 8 June 1948. This year, Porsche Singapore brought back the Sportscar Together Day. Held on the 24th and 25th June, Porsche owners, Porsche Club members and car enthusiasts were welcome to attend.

Families and friends alike had the opportunity to bond over delectable food, Porsche car displays, driving simulators, and merchandise. The main highlight was definitely the movie screening. Media friends were treated to an exclusive look of the film Bad Boys for Life, but I would imagine another film was screened on other days in order to appease younger audiences.

The drive-in cinema, even though a noticeable echo could be heard whilst watching the film, was an enjoyable experience throughout. The exhibition hall was fully air-conditioned, and it was surreal experiencing this from the comfort of your own car. I would imagine this would have evoked excitement for many, be it young or old.

Those at the event also had the opportunity to appreciate the beautiful Porsches that were on displays. These models included fan favorites such as the 911 GT3 and Taycan Cross Turismo 4S, and even cult classics such as the legendary 356.

Best of all, customers and fans alike can expect more customer-centric experiences like these in the future. With restrictions slowly easing and the pandemic transitioning behind us, these are exciting things to look out for!
