Mercedes EQE 350+ Previewed in Exclusive Media Event Before Official Launch Later in 2022
Mercedes-Benz invited members of the press to have a look at their latest electrified saloon at the Mercedes-Benz Concept Store in Great World City!
This isn’t actually the official launch of the new EQE. Rather, it was Mercedes’ way of allowing us journalists to have a poke about the car, and have a first-hand feel of what the car would look and feel like. The model previewed was the EQE 350+, the de facto ‘base’ model.
But there’s nothing ‘base’ about both the equipment and trim levels, as well as the $396,888 Mercedes wants for the car. For starters, this svelte electric luxury saloon develops 292 rear-wheel horsepowers, which is enough to propel this luxobarge to 100km/h from a standstill in just 6.4 seconds.
It draws the electrons needed for traction from a 90.56 kWh battery pack, good for a WLTP estimated range of 660 km.
There’s no hyperscreen on this particular variant of the EQE - you’ll instead find an MBUX multimedia system with their new ‘zero-layer’ design. Other luxurious touches on the inside include ambient lighting with 64 colours, an 11-speaker sound system, and even augmented reality navigation.
Being a Mercedes product, the car comes with a whole suite of safety systems, which we’ll go into more detail in when the car is officially launched later in the year. That is also where you’d be able to look at the AMG-ified variants of the EQE, just in case the EQE 350+ isn’t sufficient enough for you!
