Change a punctured tyre? Ain’t nobody got time for that! With TireCare, you can plug those pesky puncture holes and be back on the road in under 10 minutes. No spare tyres needed.

We drivers don’t have that many options when it comes to a punctured tyre. You either change it yourself (provided you know how) or call roadside assistance and pay them to get the job done. Regardless of your choice, you’ll have to admit that getting a puncture tyre is a real bother. Well, with TireCare, that’s about to change.

Relatively new in the Singapore auto market, TireCare is an advance anti-puncture solution, designed to rapidly seal tyre punctures permanently. Said to fix punctured tyres in 10 minutes or less, it’s definitely an easier option than the two mentioned above. Don’t let the pink solution fool you either—it has received endorsements by the Automobile Association of Singapore and the Singapore Army.

Sealing Punctures from the Inside

Made with high-strength nano fibre technology, TireCare works by sealing punctures from the inside of your tyres. That’s right, you’ll have to inject the TireCare sealant into your tyres. When injected, the sealant will coat the inner walls of the tyre as it spins. If a puncture occurs, the sealant will cover the puncture hole and plug it right up.

Unlike most tyre repair kits in the market, where the repair is temporary, TireCare is a permanent fix, allowing you to use your tyre until the end of its lifespan. Non-toxic, non-hazardous and non-corrosive, the sealant won’t damage your tyres, rims, or tyre pressure monitoring system. TireCare is also 100% organic and eco-friendly and can be easily washed off with water without leaving any stain or residue.

It’s best to think of TireCare as the Chinese medicine of tyre repair kits. It remedies the problem from the inside and doesn’t leave any nasty side effects on your car. But unlike Chinese medicine, it’s usage won’t be a bitter pill to swallow.

Applying TireCare to your wheels is as easy as pie. To mend a punctured tyre, first let all the air out of the damaged tyre by removing the valve core. Next, take the sealant, give the bottle a shake, and inject the sealant into the tyre through the valve. The amount of sealant to inject depends on the make and size of your tyre.

Once done, replace the valve core and use an air compressor to fully pump your tyre. The sealant will start working its magic once you’ve driven off, giving you a fully functional and working tyre.

You can even use TireCare to prevent punctures in the future. If you happen to change a set of tyres, simply inject the sealant into your new wheels. In the event of a puncture, the sealant will automatically fix the problem, without needing you to stop your vehicle. Besides the benefit of convenience, TireCare will also help balance out your tyres as you drive.

Verdict

We were originally as sceptical as you, but after trying out TireCare for ourselves, we were pleasantly surprised by its usefulness and practicality. First off, you wouldn’t need to break a sweat by changing your tyre. This is especially the case for ladies, and those of us without the knowledge of changing tyres.

Secondly, TireCare will be vital when travelling to places like Malaysia. Not only is it troublesome to find a reliable tow truck service and workshop in Malaysia, but it’s also dangerous to change a tire by the side of the road as it leaves you susceptible to robbers and car thieves.

Thirdly, if you’re unlucky enough to have two punctured tyres, one bottle of TireCare should be enough to fix both of them up. Most cars will only have a single spare tyre in the truck, so TireCare will definitely save you from this unfavourable situation.

Despite its usefulness, TireCare isn’t exactly a fixer for every puncture problem. It’s unable to save your tyre from tears and cuts, including damages to the side wall of the tyre. It’s also unable to fix tyres with puncture holes that are more than 12mm in diameter. In the event of these problems, it is still best to take your vehicle to your preferred workshop.

Motorist Tirecare Variants

TireCare has a shelf life of five years. It also comes in other variants for motorcycles, bicycles and commercial vehicles.

A full TireCare Revival Kit is priced at S$188, while a bottle of sealant is going for $68. For those of you without an air compressor, you might want to get the full kit because it includes one.
