Performance Motors Limited marks its 45th anniversary as BMW’s authorised dealer in Singapore with initiatives to drive customer satisfaction
The PML 45th anniversary (1979-2024) milestone kicks off with strategic investments in retail, aftersales, digitisation, lifestyle events, sports activities, and sustainability.
The flagship showroom of Performance Motors Limited (PML) at 303 Alexandra Road will be renovated to become Singapore’s largest BMW Retail.Next showroom in the third quarter of 2024.
The upcoming facility will feature a phygital (physical + digital) space of almost 6,800 sq m, which focuses on providing a seamless customer journey - from expression of interest to sales consultation, transaction, delivery, and aftersales. The Alexandra Road showroom will continue to operate during its renovation, but there will be a 600 sq m pop-up showroom at PML’s East Coast Centre in Kampong Arang as another option for BMW car buyers.
PML has also expanded its service network recently with its $3 million Defu Service Factory, which joins the existing workshops in Alexandra, East Coast and Ubi to cover the servicing needs of BMW owners islandwide.
In the digital arena, PML has enhanced its mobile app to make service appointments more convenient, contactless if desired, and personalised. The app now includes a breakfast pre-selection function for customers who wish to make full use of the lounge. In addition, a QR ordering system has been implemented at the PML showroom cafe to make the ordering of food and drinks even easier.
The back end of operations has also benefitted from increased digitisation - PML technicians at the new Defu workshop use a smart aftersales portal for an improved workflow.
Lifestyle events and sports activities are part of the BMW ownership experience espoused by PML. These include well-planned driveaways to Malaysia, adrenalin-pumping adventures for the driving enthusiasts in the dealership’s Performance Motorsports Circle, and exclusive golf games/tournaments.
Sustainability is also part of PML’s 45th anniversary, so as to help ensure that our Earth won’t be in worse shape a few more years from now.
PML followed up on its winning the overall grand prize at BMW Group Asia’s 2023 Polaris Sustainability Awards by saving 1 million litres of water, thanks to customers who opted out of their complimentary car wash after servicing. Saying no to a car wash also means saying yes to planting a tree - PML will continue to work with NParks to plant a tree for every 30 opted-out car washes.
