Vehicular access to these closed roads during the June 15-16 and June 22-23 periods in question will be limited to authorised vehicles, including those from the police force and emergency services. Army marshals will be deployed at the affected road junctions to direct motorists and assist further if required.
Parking restrictions along the affected roads will be strictly enforced, and vehicles parked illegally or causing obstruction will be towed away. In other words, don’t be a parking idiot.
The authorities advise motorists to plan their journeys in advance and avoid these closed roads. However, alternative driving routes to and from the Civic District are likely to be limited and congested during these road-closure periods, such as Bayfront Avenue and Rochor Road leading to the multi-mall area of Temasek Boulevard.
Motorists may contact the organiser at 1800-6372024 for more information.
