Hyundai has started production and sales of its new made-in-Singapore IONIQ 6, following the success of the home-grown IONIQ 5.

Hyundai launched the first made-in-Singapore IONIQ 6 electric sedan on 19 July at the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS), the latest Hyundai IONIQ model to be produced at the Singapore factory.

The IONIQ 6 is available in Singapore in four variants, the Inspiration 77kWh (top-spec, all-wheel drive, Cat B COE), the Prestige 77kWh (longest range, rear-wheel drive, Cat B COE), the Prestige 53kWh (Cat A COE), and the Exclusive 53kWh (entry level, Cat A COE). All four variants of the IONIQ 6 will be produced in-house at the HMGICS factory.

Prices for the made-in-Singapore IONIQ 6 start at S$192,150 including COE for the entry-level Exclusive 53kWh and go up to S$244,850 including COE for the range-topping Inspiration 77kWh model.

The IONIQ 6 range will be produced alongside the made-in-Singapore IONIQ 5 range and the IONIQ 5 robotaxi that gets exported to the United States. The locally produced IONIQ 6 range will uniquely feature enhanced connectivity features like Bluelink with Hyundai Connected Car Services and over-the-air software updates.

Hyundai also announced enhanced partnerships with charging solutions providers, offering new options to customers who purchase the made-in-Singapore IONIQ 6.

For example, Schneider Electric will offer an industry-leading three-year warranty on their latest home charger that comes with an extended cable. Mobile charging provider P.UP is another partner, providing five charges a month for up to 12 months with a complimentary 12-month emergency rescue service that includes emergency charging, 12V battery replacement, and up to two tows a year.

Hyundai customers are also able to utilise their Flexible Charging Credits at 17 charge point operators (CPOs) across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Cambodia.

The made-in-Singapore IONIQ 6 is now available for purchase and test drives. For more information, visit the HMGICS website here or the Hyundai showroom at 253 Alexandra Road.
