January 2019 COE Results 2nd Bidding: Car Premiums End Higher in Latest Tender

For the 2nd bidding exercise for January 2019, COE results ended mostly higher for cars. Cat A closed at $26,170, Cat B rose to $33,989, while Cat E ended at $33,689.

With 2,864 bids received, the Quota Premium (QP) for Cat A (Cars up to 1600CC & 97KW) rose by $250, from $25,920 to $26,170.

Cat B (Cars above 1600CC or 97KW) received 2,119 bids and closed the highest at $33,989, a $1,789 increase from the previous exercise.

For Cat C (Goods Vehicle & Bus), the Quota Premium went down by $772, from $27,002 to $26,230.

Similarly, Cat D (Motorcycles) also experienced a fall in prices. Going down by $721, the COE prices went from $3,610 to $2,889

Lastly, for Cat E (Open category), it received 797 bids and saw an increase of $780, from $32,909 to $33,689.

By the looks of it, the increase in COE prices could be due to the number of new cars purchases that happened at the Singapore Motorshow earlier this month.
