COE Quota to Decrease for February 2019 to April 2019

The Certificate of Entitlement (COE) quota for February 2019 to April 2019 will be decreased to 26,257—an average of 8,752 a month.
In comparison, the COE quota from November 2018 to January 2019 was 30,143—an average of 10,046 a month. This comes after the COE quotas saw an increase in the last two quarters.
Announced by LTA in a press release today, the average monthly quota for Cat A (Cars up to 1600CC & 97KW) will decrease from 3,631 to 3,300–a 331 drop. The average monthly quota for Cat B (Cars above 1600CC or 97KW) will also decrease, from 2,471 to 2,399–a slight drop of 72.
For goods vehicles and buses in Cat C, the average monthly quota fell from 658 to 608–a slight drop of 50. The average monthly quota for Cat D (Motorcycles) saw the biggest decrease among all five categories, dropping by 556— from 2,207 to 1,651. Lastly, Cat E (Open Category) will see an average monthly quota of 794—a dip of 285 from 1,079.
