Walk-ins no longer allowed at Woodlands VEP information counter, appointments must be made online before visiting
Drivers from Singapore who wish to inquire about Malaysia's Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) must now make an appointment before visiting the VEP information counter in Woodlands.
Motorists can make their appointment bookings online through this website, https://www.myvep.com.sg/appointment. They will then have to input their name, vehicle registration number, email, and phone number before being able to select a time slot.
The inquiry counter is open on weekdays from 9am to 5pm but as of 1pm on 2 September, all appointment slots for the month of September have been fully booked. Staff from the VEP information counter also wished to point out that walk-ins will not be entertained and double bookings will be rejected.
The online booking system is seen as a welcome addition to the VEP information counter's operations as motorists previously had to queue in the hallways from as early as 6.30am to snag one of just 100 queue tickets given out daily. Motorists are also hoping that the information counter will be able to provide VEP application and RFID tag installation services.
The VEP information counter is located at 186 Woodlands Industrial Park E5, #03-01R.
If you are applying for your VEP, you can follow our guide here for all the required steps.
