From 18 September 2024, motorists in Singapore will be able to collect their VEP tags from the VEP information counter at Woodlands.

Drivers will now be able to collect their Malaysia Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) tags locally, in addition to the self-collection branch in Johor Bahru or receiving the tag by mail.

There is an additional fee of S$39 to collect the tag in Singapore, payable at the VEP information counter. This fee is on top of the RM10 (S$3) processing fee for the VEP tag.

According to a report by Channel News Asia (CNA), an appointment confirmation email from TCSens (the vendor appointed by Malaysia’s Road Transport Department) dated 3 September showed the option to collect the VEP tag from Woodlands. It was also reported that 18 September was the first available date for collection.

CNA also reported that drivers who opt to collect their VEP tag from Woodlands will receive, by default, the tag that is installed on the windscreen, unless their windscreen is deemed unsuitable for it. In this case, they will be offered the VEP tag meant for installation on the headlamp.

This process is similar to the existing installation procedure at the VEP collection centre in Danga Bay, Johor Bahru.

The VEP information counter is located at 186 Woodlands Industrial Park E5, #03-01R.

It was announced recently that the VEP information counter would move to an appointment-only system with an online booking platform.
