Singapore's new Smart showroom, on the third floor of the C&C Mercedes-Benz complex at 301 Alexandra Road, is open for business with two core models - the #1 and #3.

Smart took over the area previously occupied by the AMG Performance Centre, which has shifted to the other side of the same floor. This co-location of the EV upstart within the C&C Alexandra Road landmark is logical, because it is a Geely-Mercedes joint venture which leverages the association with one of Singapore’s strongest luxury car brands.

The minimalist Smart showroom houses the new #1 and even newer #3, along with the relevant paintwork swatches for customers to configure their clever new Chinese-German SUV, and Smart merchandise to round off their motoring experience.

Smart motoring in Singapore starts with the #1, a designer crossover, and continues with the newly-launched #3, a coupe-SUV which is bigger, sportier and pricier than the #1. Both models are available as two variants - 200kW Pro+ and 315kW Brabus, with the latter looking and performing faster.

Mandy Zhang, the global chief marketing officer of Smart Automobile, said: “We will continue to cooperate with Cycle & Carriage to fulfill our commitment of providing unique and exciting brand and product experiences to Singaporean customers."

Wilfrid Foo, managing director of Cycle & Carriage Singapore, said: “The Smart showroom at the Mercedes-Benz Centre widens our premium product offerings, putting them under ‘one house’, providing more options for consumers.”

The options in question probably include in-showroom comparisons of the Smart #1 and #3 against their closest tristar equivalent, the EQA250+.

The entry-level Mercedes-Benz EV is currently (as of 2024 September 11) listed at $293,888 for the Progressive variant and $302,888 for the higher-spec Electric Art variant. Current prices for the Smart model lineup are $240,888 for the #1 Pro+; $258,888 for the #3 Pro+; $280,888 for the #1 Brabus and $302,888 for the #3 Brabus.
