DENZA D9, the all-electric 7-seater luxury MPV by BYD
DENZA is the dynamic new premium marque brought to you by BYD, Singapore’s best-selling car brand since January 2024 (according to LTA data as of August 2024).

The Chinese EV superbrand continued its unstoppable market momentum with the entry-level yet delightful BYD DOLPHIN hatchback and the upscale Seal fastback, which is designed and engineered to showcase the best of BYD technology for the world.
With the debut of DENZA D9 in rich right-hand-drive markets such as Singapore and Hong Kong, BYD is aiming higher than ever as a fast-rising automotive giant. The motoring high life offered by the DENZA D9 deluxe MPV will bring business elites across the Asia Pacific region straight to cloud nine.

Every journey in the DENZA D9 would feel like a smooth ride on a perfectly-paved “Silk Road”, with the privileged passengers lounging on their throne seats in a modern “imperial palace” atop 18-inch alloy wheels.
The DENZA D9 exterior is imperially imposing in its size, measuring 5.25 metres in length, 1.96 metres in width and 1.92 metres in height. Chrome accents aplenty, along with dramatic details such as meteor-inspired headlights and arrow-style tail-lights, help to project a regal appearance - wherever the vehicle goes, between the workday boardroom and the weekend boardwalk.
The palatial character of the car is also emphasised within the cabin, starting with DENZA’s “777” concept of interior space - comfortable seating for 7 adults, plus room for up to 7 suitcases and 7 business backpacks.
The generous, limousine-like wheelbase of 3.11 metres is maximised by the ample fore-aft adjustment for the pampering captain’s chairs and the accessible central aisle between them.
The Chinese limo impression is boosted onboard by the comprehensive amenities (dependent on specifications), which include a massive panoramic glass roof, massager/ventilator seat functions, three 50W wireless charging pads, six USB ports, multi-screen infotainment, in-car karaoke and a 14-speaker Dynaudio hi-fi system. There is even a drinks cabinet with dual temperature control between -5 deg C and 50 deg C.
Classy materials such as NAPPA leather, real wood veneers and suede headlining complete the upmarket ambience, while the intuitive DENZA-Link cockpit with its logical controls and interactive voice command is ready to make any captain of industry feel like the captain of a Chinese international spaceship.
The space-age engineering of DENZA D9 is headlined by BYD’s proprietary technologies such as the efficient and secure e-Platform 3.0, proven 103kWh Blade battery, and integrated electric powertrain. The DiSus-C intelligent suspension provides a harmonious balance between driving control and cruising comfort, while advanced driving aids ensure safe motoring in all situations.
Two variants of the DENZA D9 are available. The DENZA D9 Elite is the front-drive version with 230 kW, 360 Nm and a WLTP range of 520 km, while the top-of-the-line DENZA D9 Grandeur is the all-wheel-drive version with 275 kW, 470 Nm and a WLTP range of 480 km.
The DENZA D9 Elite is priced at $296,888 including COE, while the DENZA D9 Grandeur is priced at $341,888 including COE (as of 2024 October 10).
DENZA D9 arrives in style
Singapore’s DENZA showrooms are at Sime Darby Motors, 305 Alexandra Road, which is also the home of BYD, and Harmony Auto, 7 Ubi Close (coming soon). The local launch of the luxury MPV also includes a DENZA downtown showcase at ION Orchard Level 1 Atrium by Harmony Auto, from 10 to 19 October, 10am-10pm.
