COE Quota to Decrease Further for May 2019 to July 2019

The Certificate of Entitlement (COE) quota for May 2019 to July 2019 will be decreased to 25,347—an average of 8,449 a month.
In comparison, the COE quota from February 2019 to April 2019 was 26,257 —an average of 8,752 a month. This is the second quarter in a row that COE quotas were reduced.
Announced by LTA in a press release today, the average monthly quota for Cat A (Cars up to 1600CC & 97KW) will decrease from 3,300 to 2,848–a drop of 452. The average monthly quota for Cat B (Cars above 1600CC or 97KW) also decreased by 121, from 2,399 to 2,278.
However, for goods vehicles and buses in Cat C, the average monthly quota increased, from 608 to 779–rising by 171. The average monthly quota for Cat D (Motorcycles) also saw an increase, going from 1,651 to 1,794, a jump of 143 from last time. Lastly, Cat E (Open Category) saw a slight drop of 45 quotas, going to 794 from 749 previously.
