Volt Auto and Charge+ offer three years of free charging credits for new Dongfeng Box owners
The joint promotion by Dongfeng distributor Volt Auto and EV charging operator Charge+ provides up to 6,000 kWh of complimentary charging within a three-year period via the Charge+ network in both Singapore and Malaysia for Dongfeng Box EVs registered from January 2025 onwards.
Under the partnership which has been running since the start of the year, new Dongfeng Box owners are given 6,000 kWh of free Charge+ charging credits, which would otherwise cost about $4,000 based on a charging fee of 65 cents per kWh delivered to the vehicle.
The amount of free EV energy in this case is enough for a Dongfeng Box to drive a total distance of 60,000 kilometres, which would cover three years of usage with a typical annual mileage of 20,000 kilometres.
The flexibility of cross-border charging in Malaysia is part of the Volt Auto Dongfeng Box package supported by Charge+, which is Singapore’s largest charge point operator with about 2,500 charge points islandwide and a few more hundred more in its fast-charger network across Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia.
The two companies marked their partnership with a Singapore-Malaysia road trip in a Dongfeng Box, which clocked 3,097 kilometres over 10 days through Johor, Kuala Lumpur and Ipoh.

Goh Chee Kiong, CEO of Charge+, said: “With our extensive and rapidly expanding charging network, Dongfeng customers can enjoy a seamless charging experience with Charge+ in Singapore and even across the region.”
Soh Ming, managing director of Volt Auto, said, “Range anxiety is one of the primary concerns for EV owners, and we are thrilled to partner with Charge+ to ensure that our Dongfeng Box customers have seamless access to fast-charging stations. The promotion is our commitment to making electric vehicle ownership even more accessible and sustainable.”
Day or night, from Singapore to Malaysia, Volt Auto and Charge+ will go the distance with Dongfeng Box drivers.
