August 2020 COE Results: Premiums Rebound After Previous Drop
For the first COE bidding exercise in August 2020, Cat A closed at $33,000, Cat B at $37,102, and Cat E at $36,502.
With 2,047 bids received, Cat A (Cars up to 1600CC & 97KW) closed at $33,000, a slight increase of $301 from the previous exercise.
The most significant increase came from Cat B (Cars above 1600CC or 97KW). It received 1,985 bids and saw a rise of $2,101. It closed highest at $37,102.
Cat C (Goods Vehicle & Bus) closed $212 higher at $24,100. It received 658 bids.
Cat D (Motorcycles) also saw a significant increase in price. Closing at $7,701, it is $1,191 higher than the previous exercise. Cat D received 720 bids in total.
Lastly, for Cat E (Open category), 784 bids were received, and a closing price of $36,502 was announced. It saw the second highest increase at $1,501.
