MINI Releases John Cooper Works GP Inspired Edition; Prices Start from $199,888

MINI Asia and Eurokars Habitat has launched the all-new MINI John Cooper Works GP Inspired Edition. Featuring exclusive specifications, and a 231hp engine that draws inspiration from the third-generation MINI John Cooper Works GP.
The MINI John Cooper Works GP Inspired Edition was announced today by MINI Asia and Eurokars Habitat. It's specially developed for fans that missed out on the original John Cooper Works GP that came out in June last year. This edition will be exclusively available in a limited run.
Exterior

The MINI John Cooper Works GP Inspired Edition basically shares a similar paint job and design as the original John Cooper Works GP. It is wrapped in Racing Grey metallic for the body and the contrast colour Melting Silver metallic for the roof.
The similar design cues are given to the rear spoiler, mirror caps, black engine bonnet scoop, black door handles and black fuel lid.

The John Cooper Works GP Inspired Edition is fitted with standard 18-inch lightweight forged wheels in the John Cooper Works Cup Spoke design with run-flat tyres.

A unique “GP Inspired” lettering distinguishes the MINI John Cooper Works GP Inspired Edition from its predecessor. It can be found on the two side doors, on the air inlet trim and the C-pillar of the hatchback.
Interior
Comfort is not an issue as the GP Inspired Edition includes John Cooper Works sports seats in a Dinamica/leather combination. As you enter the MINI, you see the GP badge on both the integrated headrest and on the floor mats.

Even the leather wheel of the John Cooper Works GP Inspired Edition is unique. It comes covered in Walknappa leather with red stitching and a stylish 3D printed metal centre marking. The metal shift paddles of the steering wheel come with the 3D-printed logo as well.
Engine

The MINI John Cooper Works Inspired Edition is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder engine with MINI TwinPower Turbo technology. MINI says that the engine boasts breathtaking performance qualities including extreme agility, a high degree of steering precision, and immaculate handling.
MINI also claimed that it'll provide pure driving fun; with its 320NM of maximum torque, a top speed of 246km/h and acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds.

With its 8-speed Steptronic transmission operated via a model-specific electronic gear selector switch, MINI says that it will allow you to switch gears smoothly.

The MINI John Cooper Works GP Inspired Edition comes with exclusive features such as Park Distance Control and 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system for your tunes. Also, the MINI Head-Up Display is a particularly useful feature that allows a driver to concentrate on the road, showing the relevant data directly on the driver's viewing line.

Other features include the Driving Assistant Package, digital high-beam assistant with Adaptive LED Matrix Headlights and the ever so helpful Parking Assistant to manoeuvre better while parking.
