The All-New BMW X2 M Mesh Edition Is Now Available in Singapore

For a Sports Activity Coupé (SAC), the all-new BMW X2 M Mesh Edition boasts greater individuality and athletism with its new design.
Following its introduction in 2018, the BMW X2 is the entry-level SAC of the BMW X family. It occupies a distinct position in the lineup alongside its bigger siblings, the BMW X3 and X6. Hence, giving it a global following.
The BMW X2 M Mesh Edition is designed particularly to appeal to active and outgoing young customers.
Exterior

The BMW X2 M Mesh Edition is a stylistic evolution of the M Sport X model. The most noticeable difference is the high-gloss Black BMW M mesh kidney grille.
Frozen Black-Brown Metallic, a new signature colour for the car, is a mocha-like hue that can be found in the exclusive inserts in the bumper trim, the prominent cladding on the side skirts and doors, and the wheel arch trim.

The body also comes with bold orange decals, which can be found on the bonnet, sides of the front bumper, and the front and rear doors. It is also shared by the inserts for the new 19-inch M aerodynamic wheels.
This perfectly complements the new Brooklyn Grey metallic paint finish that is only available on the X2 Mesh Edition, as well as the Sapphire Black metallic exterior shade.
Individual high-gloss shadow line with extended features is standard on all BMW models. This includes the mirror base, mirror triangle, B-pillar trim, and C-pillar trim surround.
LED Headlights

The revised front end's clear surfacing catches the eye and works in tandem with the standard LED headlights to produce a powerful appearance.
The circular front fog lights have been removed, resulting in a cleaner front bumper design. The cornering light, when used wisely, gives optimum lighting of the road's edge.
Another new feature is the projection of an X2 logo from the exterior mirror on the driver's side as part of the standard lighting package, which also includes door handle lighting, ground lighting, exterior mirror lighting, and door entry light.

The BMW X2 M Mesh Edition seats are wrapped with a blend of Dakota leather in Mocha with Anthracite-coloured Alcantara, alongside several other BMW M design elements that enhances the interior's sporting appearance.
The 8.8-inch infotainment system can now be operated by the front passenger and driver with ease, thanks to the ergonomically arranged controls. The driver also gets a 5.7-inch information display in the instrument cluster, and it allows you to view Real-Time Traffic Information while on the go.
Drivers will also enjoy a functional boot offering 470 litres of space to store your shopping items or bicycle, making the BMW X2 an ideal car for any outdoor activities.
Drivetrain

The BMW X2 M Mesh Edition is exclusively available in the sDrive18i engine variant; it's a 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine that delivers 136hp and 220Nm of torque, with claimed acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds, with a top speed of 205 km/h. Power is sent to the front wheels via a seven-speed Steptronic dual-clutch transmission.
The BMW's Driving Experience Control switch allows you to customise between COMFORT mode, ECO PRO mode and SPORT mode, all of which enables you to adjust your steering and powertrain responses. It also comes standard with the M Sport suspension, which gives the X2 better road-holding capabilities to overcome various road surfaces.

The ID6 display and operating concept provide three distinct ways to control individual vehicle and navigation functions. Either using the iDrive Controller, Control Display with touchscreen functionality, or a voice control system capable of decoding naturally formulated sentences.
In standard configuration, the free-standing Control Display allows you to perform the followings:
- Easy to use navigation system
- Mimics smartphone touch control
- Real-time traffic information that sends warnings about potential traffic jams
- Hands-free capability with Bluetooth interface
- DAB digital radio reception
Lastly, the BMW X2 M Mesh Edition comes with the BMW Connected app with ConnectedDrive Services. It allows you to lock and unlock the vehicle and send a destination address from a smartphone to the car's navigation system.
