Across the range, a new, reduced and particularly clear design language directs the eye to the essentials. Notable highlights include a larger grille forming a single unbroken hexagon, as well as fog lights being replaced by air intakes that improves aerodynamics.
The round hallmark MINI headlights with LED technology feature black inner housings. These updates create a more dominant front end for each MINI.
In addition, the side indicators integrated into the redesigned side scuttles now feature LED technology.

The rear has also received significant design updates with model-specific rear apron geometry. A black surround picks up the hexagonal shape of the radiator grille.
Across all variants, the new MINI features the rear LED lights in the Union Jack design, and the rear fog light is now integrated into the rear apron as a narrow LED unit.

The MINI Convertible combines the enthusiasm for open-top driving pleasure with clever functionality. The textile soft top can be opened and closed within 18 seconds. It can also be activated while driving at speeds of up to 30 km/h.
For a precisely dosed supply of fresh air and sunlight, the front section of the soft top can be continuously retracted by up to 40 centimetres. This sunroof function is available at any speed.

All MINI models receive a new sports leather steering wheel as standard, with a new design of the wheel spokes and a black panel concept for the multifunction controls.
In addition, a 5-inch digital screen behind the steering wheel is fitted as standard. First seen on the MINI John Cooper Works GP, it is now available on all variants across the range.
The central infotainment system is now an 8.8-inch touchscreen surrounded by a laser engraved LED ring. The operating system controller on the centre console is also an all-black surface in conjunction with the navigation system.

Thanks to consistently optimised emission control technology, which includes a petrol engine particulate filter, all model variants comply with the Euro 6d emission standard.
The One and Cooper variants are combined with a 7-speed Steptronic transmission with double clutch as standard, while the Cooper S variant for all models features a 7-speed Steptronic Sport transmission with double clutch.

Comprehensive Driving Assistant package
For the first time, the Driving Assistant package is fitted as standard for all versions of the MINI range. This camera-based system increases safety on the road by recognising and reporting potential dangers.
Notable features in the Driving Assistant package include Park Distance Control, Lane Departure warning, and cruise control with braking function. In addition, a camera-based speed and distance control helps the driver automatically keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front, and the speed limit information system detects and displays speed limits as they apply to the current section of road.
