HDB Parking Offences and Penalties in Singapore

The Housing Development Board (HDB) and Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) implemented the Parking Rules and Penalties in Singapore. The parking offences were recently updated in 2019 after the last revision in 1991 by HDB and URA.
As motorists ourselves, we are familiar with HDB Multi-Story Car Parks (MSCP) and Open-Air Car Parks across Singapore. There are many rules at such car parks that motorists are unaware of and have to obey. Failure to adhere will end up facing a fine.

Although the punishments only consist of fines, the good news is that demerit points are not imposed because these parking offences are separated from traffic offences. However, do note that the court will take legal action against errant motorists who violate the rules severely.
