Hi! I paid a deposit of $1k for a used car with a car dealer after a quick test drive. Later I realized some functionality (idle stop engine) might be broken. I asked the car dealer to show me it is working, but they did not want to allow me to test drive it again. Am I entitled to get the deposit refunded (as they cannot show the car is fully functional) if I don't proceed with the purchase?

Hi Ben, thank you for your question. As different dealerships have different Terms and Conditions on the sales agreement.
Does the agreement you sign mention anything about a refund policy? If yes, you may contact Case here: https://www.case.org.sg/contactus.aspx.
