As light goods vehicles will continue to be subjected to the speed limit of 60km/h when they are carrying workers on the vehicles' cargo decks/ compartments, it will be left to the owners of LGVs to decide whether to reset the speed warning buzzer from 60km/h to 70 km/h. There is no time frame imposed for owners who wish to reset or replace their SWD to comply with the new requirement. Should vehicle owners decide to change the speed setting, they can approach the relevant SWD agents for assistance.
